Our Liverpool: Mum sold valuables to get to son after horror Thailand crash

Hello and welcome to Our Liverpool.

The mum and sister of a man who crashed his motorbike into the front of a shop in Thailand sold their own valuables to pay for last-minute plane tickets to get to him. Liam Kilby, 25, was on holiday with friends and had to be resuscitated by paramedics as he was rushed to hospital.

He spent seven days fighting for his life, and though he has made some recovery he still can't speak or leave his hospital bed. His family face an eye-watering £18,000 medical bill after the incident.

Paedophile spared jail after he spied on families with young kids

A man who secretly took pictures of families with young kids at Crosby beach avoided prison yesterday and was given a 18 month suspended sentence. David Constance, 81, had previously been imprisioned for four years for 24 offences relating to possessing and taking indecent images of children and voyeurism.

When police made an unnannounced visit to his home in the Summer of 2021, they found images of girls in a park taken from a distance on his laptop, as well as of families at Crosby Beach.

Dad knew something was wrong when his toilet habits changed

A dad-of-two ended up in A&E after he started losing a lot of blood between 20 to 30 times a day. Sean Jones, 36, started feling unwell in June 2022 and doctors had expected to see sign's of Crohn's disease or Colitis but soon he was given the news he had stage two bowel cancer.

He spoke about going into "battle-mode" as he tried to fight the cancer for his family.

Family's fury as council keep sending tax bills to their dead mum

The family of a mum who was still sent council tax bills despite being diagnosed with cancer and moving away from her Wirral home before she died have begged the council to "please stop sending" the letters. Richard Sefton-Durant said the letters kept coming after her passing, each time reinvoking the grief of his mum's loss.
