This morning I brought you the story of Jennifer Roche, a beloved mum of three from Maghull who made a pact to climb Snowdon with her friends after being diagnosed with bowel cancer. Since, tributes have been pouring in for Jennifer, who died in January after a long battle with the disease.
Friends, family and loved ones called her the best "friend, wife, mum, daughter, sister there ever was," with husband David saying she could light up any room she entered. Her friends Jenny, Rach, Amy, Michelle and Sue are all due to climb Snowdon this year, in honour of their pact and her memory.

Government finds surprise £20m for Bootle Strand despite previous snub
A multi-million pound revamp of the Bootle Strand could take a big step forward after a surprise announcement from the government yesterday, which awarded Sefton Council with £20m to push ahead with its Bootle levelling up plans.

Shem began training in MMA in Malaysia while a wanted man, and now dreams of becoming a Pro World Champion in the UFC as he awaits a fight in the Czech Republic that could "pave the way for greatness."
