Our House star Martin Compston says creepy fans 'take and send me pictures of my kid'

Martin Compston has spoken out about the 'weird' behaviour of some fans after he revealed that some people began sending him pictures of his son.

The actor, who is currently starring on ITV's Our House, has said that people think they're being "nice" but to him it feels "weird."

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast, Compston opened up about what was going on behind the scenes in his own life.

The podcast host asked what it is like living in Las Vegas compared to Glasgow and he immediately joked about how his wife "drives him up the wall" thanks to her love of the rain stating he loves the dry weather.

But he also stated that he loves the "anonymity" there as he "needs the place [Las Vegas]."

The 37-year-old continued: "There's been two factors - one is the covid thing.

"When people have a drink in them they're over-friendly which I used to love but during covid times and when you're working you get nervous because if I get covid I shut down a job for 70 people.

"And also becoming a dad - it's a nightmare.

Martin Compston spoke out about why he no longer checks his DMs. (ITV)

"People are very kind and they're just curious but there’s been this weird thing of people taking pictures - and I'm used to people taking sneaky pictures of me - but they're taking pictures of my kid and then sending it to me online and it’s bizarre. I find it really strange and don't understand why you would. It’s weird, like, they’ll DM you.

"And that’s why I’ve had to stop looking at DMs altogether because it’ll be like, 'I saw you and your kid at the park, didn’t want to bother you but here’s a picture’. And you're like… It’s weird."

The Line of Duty star added: "There's no malice in people when they do this but genuinely, I’ve been out with my wee one and somebody will come up and go, 'Can I get a picture?' and I’ll go, 'I’m really sorry, but I’m with my son', and they’ll go, 'Oh, thingy will hold him'.

"And I’m like, ‘What?!’ People genuinely think they’re just being nice. That’s where Vegas is really good. We can just sort of disappear over there."

The final episode of Our House concludes tonight at 9pm and all four episodes are available to watch on the ITV hub now.
