These top-of-the-market price tags are enough to turn buyers to similar, but cheaper alternatives like the Shark Vertex Pro.
However, don't rush over to Shark, Amazon's slashed the price of the Dyson Outsize in the final hours of Prime Day. However, the deal is still live, so it's $649.99, rather than $799.99. That's still a great reduction. In fact, it's the cheapest the Outsize has been all year.

Our team of experts have tested the Outsize. One of our expert testers used it in her home, where she put it through its paces, vacuuming sugar, flour, and cereal. When she used it on a dog bed, it literally changed color, redefining the phrase 'as good as new'. We wanted to find some weaknesses, so we could justify buying a cheaper alternative, but all we could critique was the price.
The suction power was incredible. As a cordless vacuum, it's nimble, easy to use, and it holds its charge really well. It comes with two batteries, which contain 60 minutes of charge each.
