Manchester United fans are split after reports of a contract extension for Bruno Fernandes surfaced on Thursday.
The Portuguese has been in negotiations with the club for some time, despite his current deal running until 2025. Reports on Thursday surfaced which suggested a breakthrough in talks had been reached and an agreement was imminent.
There were reports earlier in the season which suggested Fernandes had put talks on ice until the season had ended, ramping up the uncertainty which hangs over Old Trafford. The club are also taking steps to secure a new permanent manager with - as Manchester Evening News reported in the week - Erik ten Hag being interviewed for the vacant position.

Some Reds fans have expressed confusion as to why United are offering out new deals to players despite not having a permanent manager in place. Meanwhile, others are pleased to see a player who has scored nine goals and grabbed 14 assists this season ready to dedicate his long-term future to United.
Here is what the supporters have had to say about the potential new contract.
