Oti Mabuse says her figure has completely changed since quitting Strictly Come Dancing

Oti Mabuse has opened up about how her body has changed since she quit Strictly Come Dancing.

The professional dancer left the show earlier this year after winning two series with celeb partners.

However, since stepping away from the BBC programme, she said her figure has changed since she is no longer as active as she was before.

The 32-year-old explained she has gone from 'being fit all the time' to being sat behind a desk now that she isn't rehearsing dance routines.

Oti revealed her body doesn't tend to burn fat as quickly as it used to as she now needs to make more time for 'physical aspects'.

Speaking to Women's Health, the dancer talked about how her life has changed after Strictly.

Oti said: "I haven’t been dancing, right? My body has completely taken on a new shape. And you’re just like, 'Oh my gosh, what is this? Is this turning 30?!' My body has completely changed from what I looked like, two, three years ago."

She explained that the lack of dancing has meant she isn't as active as she was before.

She said: "My body just doesn’t burn as fast as it used to. I was going from dancing – literally running, jumping, being fit all the time – to sitting behind a desk or [sitting down when I’m] doing interviews. So I’ve learned that I need to make time for the physical aspects."

Oti has had a career change and, although she still appears on TV on The Masked Dancer, she also runs a dance school alongside her professional dancer husband Marius Lepure.

It had been rumoured that Oti could be fronting a new quiz show, The Tower, after Romeo and Duet was axed, which she hosted.

Romeo and Duet was a dating show with a singing element, but ITV bosses confirmed it had been axed after just one series, amid reports of low ratings for the show.

It's thought a pilot of The Tower will be filmed soon in the hope a broadcaster will pick it up.

The new quiz show will test "general knowledge, strategic thinking and judgement".

A post looking for contestants revealed: "Star of Strictly, Dancing On Ice and The Masked Dancer Oti Mabuse is looking for outgoing, lively and knowledgeable teams of two to be part of a TV quiz show first — The Tower.

"Set in a unique world, your general knowledge, strategic thinking and judgement will be tested to the max in this exciting new game. Teams of friends, family, colleagues or partners battle to win a cash prize. Be part of something extraordinary."
