Oti Mabuse is going to delight fans when she makes an unexpected return to Strictly Come Dancing, nine months after quitting the show.
Oti was a much loved member of the Strictly team for years and finally won the show in 20919 alongside stand-in contestant Kelvin Fletcher, before scoring a back to back win, when she and Bill Bailey lifted the Glitterball trophy a year later. Oti's short-lived stint in the ballroom in 2021 alongside rugby star Ugo Monye, proved to be her last as earlier this year the champion pro announced she was leaving the show, having taken up a position on the Dancing on Ice judging panel.
While Oti didn't initially announce her intention to quit when making the switch to ITV, she made an announcement on her Strictly departure midway through Dancing on Ice's latest series, taking to social media to write: "Never easy to say goodbye. I have been part of the most amazing TV show, Strictly Come Dancing for the past seven years and it has been an incredible time.

"Lifting the glitter ball twice and having the best journey with all my celebrities, but also meeting and working with the best team, crew, producers, celebs and incredible professional dancers! You are my family and I adore you all forever."
As well as joining Dancing on Ice as a judge, Oti has also been a panellist on The Masked Dancer and landed her own ITV show, Romeo and Duet. But now she is going to be returning to her old stomping ground of the Strictly ballroom to be a choreographer for the upcoming quarter final. The show, which has been moved to Friday, December 2, because of the World Cup, with have a Musicals theme and Oti has confirmed her involvement.
Speaking in the latest issue of Women's Health, she said: ""I'm choreographing a number on it. What an amazing opportunity to work behind the scenes and really enjoy the professionals' talent because they're such an amazing group to work with."
