Oshae Brissett wasn’t exactly coming into a completely new crowd of players after having played with Boston Celtics’ 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon when they were both members of the Indiana Pacers. That didn’t put a dent in Brissett’s enthusiasm, however. “I was really excited,” related the Canadian forward to CLNS Media at Las Vegas Summer League on Saturday afternoon.
Brissett got the call from team president Brad Stevens and coach Joe Mazzulla and leapt at the chance to join the storied franchise in his first experience as a free agent. “Myself being very versatile offensively and defensively is something that they were excited about and for me, I’m excited to go show it,” said the Syracuse alum.
“Anything they want me to do offensively, defensively — that’s my mindset coming in,” he added. “I have no ego I have nothing to prove really, I just want to go in and whatever these guys want me to do, I’m going do it.”
Jordan Walsh had an excellent debut with 18 points fueled by 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. https://t.co/gSV7EAgofo
