Back on European soil and at the start of three-consecutive weekends of racing, McLaren is hopeful the pain of Miami will be short-lived.
The British team had a horror performance during the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, with Australian Oscar Piastri and Brit Lando Norris finishing 19th and 17th respectively.
McLaren has a total of 14 points from the opening five races of the season, as they are locked in a battle for fifth place in the constructors' championship.
Despite their most recent struggles, Piastri said the team had taken plenty away from Miami and was looking to apply that knowledge to this weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in Imola, Italy.
"We've done a full review of Miami and taken as many learnings as possible into the upcoming weekend," he said.
"I've been back at the factory with the engineers and on the [simulator] to ensure I'm ready to hit the ground running."
Piastri has scored points in only one race this season, finishing eighth in the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
Despite only having four points so far, the Australian rookie has shown plenty of promising signs, with a commendable 10th during the sprint race in Azerbaijan.
McLaren will be hoping for similar success to last year in Imola, where Norris finished third behind the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
Red Bull lead the constructors' championship this season after five races, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez fighting for the drivers' title.
The pair have taken all victories so far in 2023, highlighting the team's dominance this season.
