Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly have a release clause in wonderkid Oscar Gloukh's contract with a host of clubs lining up to sign the midfielder in January.
The 18-year-old has been included on a potential list of winter targets by Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou with the Greek-Aussie preparing for potential exits next month. Josip Juranovic has impressed at the World Cup and with talks over a new deal stalling could be on his way out of Celtic Park, while Giorgios Giakoumakis is unhappy with the terms he is currently on in Glasgow's east end and could depart the Scottish Premiership champions next month.
Should a midfielder leave then Celtic attention could quickly turn to the playmaker who has netted four goals so far this term, and scored his first for his country against Cyprus during his first senior international cap last month. Head of scouting and recruitment Mark Lawwell had the player watched by Parkhead scouts earlier this season, but the club face a hefty payout of they are to land the forward.
Israeli outlet Sports claim that the release clause written into Glouch's stands at €7m (£6m) with Maccabi preparing for bids to come in next month. The player, who is under contract until the end of the 2024 season, has reportedly been scouted by a whopping 25 clubs from across Europe this term.
They note that the club had hoped to renegotiate his current deal to 2025 but have been unsuccessful in talks. With Maccabi pushing for the Israeli Premier League title they are keen to keep the prospect at the club until the summer going into the winter window.
Rangers had previously been credited with an interest in the talent in the summer. However, interest from Ibrox appears to have dried up with the club moving on to other targets.
