Maccabi Tel Aviv owner Mitchell Goldhar has confessed wonderkid Oscar Gloukh could be set to leave the club in January following crunch talks with the player's camp.
Record Sport revealed that Ange Postecoglou has included the 18-year-old on a list of January transfer targets in case any of Celtic’s World Cup stars are snared from the Scottish Premiership champions this winter. Along with head of scouting and recruitment Mark Lawwell the Australian has drawn up a list of potential signings and Maccabi Tel Aviv teenager Gloukh is under consideration after being watched by Celtic’s scouts.
The Israeli youth cap, who was linked with Rangers last summer, is valued at around £8million but only has a contract until 2024 and the wheels appear to be in motion for a move this winter with club's across Europe tracking his progress. Goldhar spoke to Israeli outlet Ynet about a potential exit for Gloukh and talks with his agent as the player's contract runs down.
Goldhar responded: "Gloukh is one of the best players who grew up here in our academy. He has abilities that remind us of the greatest of them all. He will continue with us a little longer. Maybe in January or at most in the summer he will progress."
