Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy is set to welcome new principal

Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy will be welcoming a new principal to the school from January 2023. Simon Leach will take over the helm of the academy, which is part of Ormiston Academies Trust.

He is joining the academy from the Derby-based Noel Baker Academy, where he worked as the vice principal for four years, maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning. Mr Leach has worked across four different school academy trusts across the Midlands in a variety of different roles, including assistant headteacher and head of faculty.

Mr Leach said: "I am delighted to be taking on the role of principal at Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy. I passionately believe that all young people are entitled to a brilliant education and I can’t wait to get started. Being asked to lead the school is an immense privilege and one that I do not take for granted.
