Orioles pitcher Cionel Perez amazingly caught teammate Connor Norby’s HR in his hat while sitting in the bullpen

It’s one thing for your baseball team to lay down an early afternoon whooping. It’s another thing entirely for you to flex about it the coolest way possible, just like the Baltimore Orioles.

With Baltimore beating the Miami Marlins down on the road Thursday, second baseman Connor Norby launched a massive dinger to right field. It was undoubtedly out of the park the moment it left his bat. It should’ve been a bog-standard home run that just further opened the floodgates to a 6-0 lead.

Then relief pitcher Cionel Perez coolly caught the ball with his hat while saluting his teammate’s achievement.

Does it get any more slick than that?

It’s one thing to just win. It’s another to do it with style. The AL East-leading Orioles clearly have no problems checking both boxes.
