Bridge of Allan Highland Games will return this summer after a two-year break due to the pandemic.
And organisers are looking for a Covid hero to become chieftain at the Sunday, August 7 festivities at Strathallan Games Park.
Previous chieftains have included Dame Diana Rigg, Ally McCoist, Kirsty Young, Judy Murray and Eve Muirhead.
Bridge of Allan Highland Games committee chairperson Sandy Laird said this week: “The committee thought it would be appropriate to ask a local Covid hero to be chieftain.
“We all know there are many, so we are really looking forward to choosing one of the nominees to join us on the day as our chieftain.”
Sponors of the Games, Central FM, added: “They can be a carer/NHS worker who has gone the extra mile during the pandemic, or even a teacher who has really been outstanding throughout the home schooling and the challenges that brought for both teachers and pupils alike.
“It can even be someone in your community who has been outstanding throughout the pandemic.”

The 2022 Highland Games will include traditional attractions like pipe bands, Highland dancing, and throwing the hammer as well as races, cycling and wrestling.
Mr Laird said this week that work is underway on making the 2022 Games one to remember.
He added: “The highlight every year for Bridge of Allan is the massed pipe bands.
“At the end of the Games all of the pipe bands march into the arena to salute the chieftain by all playing together and, with anything between 40 and 70 bands playing in unison, I have yet to see a chieftain without a tear in their eye.
“This is also when the for the pipe band competitions take place. They are unaware of the winners until they are announced at this point, so there is a lot of cheering and the throwing of hats in the air.”
