The Colorado Buffaloes have been all the rage, capturing the attention of the nation under Deion “Coach Sanders” Prime. But they were no match for quarterback Bo Nix and his Oregon Ducks.
Nix, considered a potential early-round draft prospect ahead of both the last draft and the upcoming one, had himself a game. The former Auburn signal-caller has only continued to rewrite his narrative with a change of scenery.
Such was well-reflected in his performance as Oregon trounced Colorado in a 42-6 thrashing.
Nix finished out the contest almost perfect, completing 28-of-33 passes for 276 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. By the end of the first half alone, Nix had completed 22-of-24 passing attempts for 217 yards with four total touchdowns and one interception.
Also during the game, Nix became the first player responsible for a total of 55 or more touchdowns at multiple schools.
He came into the contest with a 77.6% completion rate, 893 passing yards and 8 touchdowns.
As he has looked to this point in the season, Nix appears firmly comfortable in this offense, seeing the field well with minimal mistakes. While it’s not heavily reflected on the stat sheet, Nix has been smart about using his legs when he needs to.

Nix will be a quarterback to watch as a potentially be a first-round pick moving throughout the remainder of the schedule.
He and the Ducks will look to move to 5-0 against a struggling Stanford Cardinal team on Saturday, entering as a heavy favorite.
