Ore Oduba's baby daughter rushed to hospital as his wife Portia reveals health scare

Portia Oduba has revealed that her eight-month-old daughter, Genie, was rushed to hospital after a 'bit of a scare' over the weekend.

The wife of Ore Oduba, urged parents to 'follow their gut' when it comes to their instincts about their children's health after the couple's baby daughter experienced worrying symptoms.

Proud mum Portia took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a series of sweet snaps with baby Genie as she opened up on the scary experience.

Alongside the gorgeous snaps of Portia cuddling and cradling Genie, she explained that she and Ore were forced to rush their little one to hospital after noticing concerning symptoms in her over the weekend.

The 32-year-old mum penned: "Been MIA for a few days We had to take a visit to A&E whilst in Kent over the weekend.

"Our little lady gave us a bit of a scare but is a lot better and bouncing back.

"24 hours later and little lady was on the mend and we were home with smiles. Thank you to all the amazing doctors and nurses at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. You are incredible."

Portia went on to encourage other parents to trust their gut when it comes to their children's health.

"Just a little reminder to yourself to always trust your gut. You know your baby better than anyone else and you feel if something isn't right or they aren't themselves, act on it. You will never be turned away... thank you NHS."

Portia and Ore are proud parents to Genie, eight-months, and they also share son Roman, three, together.

Last year, Ore told The Mirror that he 'got through' the pandemic and lockdown thanks to his role as a father.

Speaking to Mirror last July, he explained: "It's had its moments really, it's had so many ups and downs and I think that's probably the same for a lot of people the past four months.

"I've gone through phases, after the initial shock it was like 'this is it, we are just going to be here, the three of us and nobody else for the foreseeable future'."

"Some days are easier than others, but our little boy - although he was the source of most of the arguments - he was the guy who got us through.

"He's the one that makes you get up in the morning and remember to eat and he was the entertainment."
