Orange Is The New Black's Lea DeLaria 'secretly marries' girlfriend Dalia Gladstone

Congratulations are said to be in order for Orange Is The New Black star Lea DeLaria after she seemingly revealed she has secretly got married.

The actress, 64, is thought to have tied the knot with her girlfriend Dalia Gladstone, with Lea letting the news slip in a recent chat.

Lea, who is best known for her impressive role as Big Boo in the hit prison comedy drama, seemed to reveal the news after unknowingly calling Dalia her "wife" during an interview.

The actress and jazz singer was speaking while appearing on the red carpet at the Miscat23 gala on Monday night as she supported pal Vanessa Williams, who was being honoured at the event.

Chatting to Page Six, she called Dalia her wife before the interviewer did a double take and asked: "When did you get married?"

The actress appeared to realise what she had let slip and mumbled: "Aaaaah" before pausing for around six seconds.

She then playfully added a reply of "no comment". However, when pushed further on the apparent announcement, the reporter in question claimed she couldn't get away with a "no comment" response after such a bombshell.

However, Lea teased that was exactly what she was going to continue to do and joked: "Yeah, we can if we want to!"

She then added: "I’m just an old-school queer. I don’t think everyone has to know my business."

Lea first featured Dalia on her social media in July 2021 when the pair enjoyed a getaway together.

It'll be the first time she has made it down the aisle, but previously came close in 2017.

At the time, Lea was engaged to then-fiancee Chelsea Fairless. However, the pair called it quits just days before what should've been their wedding day.

In a statement released by the pair on Instagram at the time, they said: "Please exclude us from the tragic and basic celebrity breakup narrative.

"We were happy together for four years and will remain in each other’s lives. In fact, we look forward to finding new ways to torture each other. We would like to thank our incredible friends and families for their love and support."

The Mirror has contacted Lea's representatives for comment.
