Today we have a very special optical illusion for you. Amongst the dizzying shapes, only those with razor-sharp eyesight will be able to spot the hidden panda in this zig-zag illusion.
These puzzles exploit the complex processing methods of our visual perception. Several factors come into play, including figure-ground perception, contrast, and intricate patterns that create the illusion, challenging our ability to accurately perceive the image. This illusion is particularly challenging as it may initially appear dizzying. However, those with excellent vision will be able to see through this puzzle with ease.
This optical illusion challenges you to look at the image from different angles and tests your ability to discern a clear picture. Take a look at the image below:
Haven't spotted the panda yet? Let us help you out. Scroll the image up and down multiple times quickly using the scroll wheel or trackpad. Do you see the panda now? Each row of this hazy stack of lines hides a panda beneath it. When you scroll the image, something called "persistence of vision" causes these frames to move in quick succession, making the panda beneath them clearer. It's similar to looking through a moving Ferris wheel—you can see through it, right? But when it's still, it becomes difficult to determine what's behind it. Another interesting fact is that this picture includes a portrait of a panda, similar to the logo of WWF (World Wildlife Fund). Giant pandas are found throughout the world, but primarily in southern China, with just over 2,200 pandas residing under close scrutiny.
