Oprah Winfrey says she thought about 'never moving again' during a nightmare recovery period from an invasive double knee surgery.
The well-known talk show host reveals she couldn't lift her leg or heel off the ground following the full-on operation last year.
Oprah admitted having thoughts about not ever being able to "get up, walk around and move again" during her terrifying recovery.
"I literally could not lift my leg," she revealed in a health update during her 'The Life You Want' motivational webinar focussed on gratitude.
The 68-year-old referenced her road to recovery after one guest mentioned she was 'grateful for every organ and every limb' in their body.
"I had knee surgery in August, and then I had another knee surgery in November," Oprah explained. "When I came home the first time, I literally could not lift my leg."
She added: "I couldn't lift my heel off of the bed.
"I vowed if I was ever able to get up, walk around, and move again — that I would take advantage of movement, exercise, and of being able to be fully in my body."
Oprah explained she was also grateful for "every organ and every limb" and that the guest's message "really brought that home".
She added: "As I was rehabilitating, I started hiking. Everyday, I tried to hike more and do more.
"My appreciation for every organ and every limb has expanded exponentially. So, you mentioning that really brought that home to me."
It comes after Oprah revealed she was surprised when her interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was labelled a "bombshell".
During a chat with Gayle King on CBS, she was quizzed about the unforgettable chat she had with the couple in 2021.
"I was as surprised by the bombshell as everybody else," she admitted to Gayle.
"I was doing an interview to offer them a platform to tell their story about why they left, and that was my number one intention was just clarity on 'why did you leave?'"
Oprah continued: "And so some of the things that were revealed in that interview came as a surprise to me and those surprises are now referred to as 'bombshell'.
"But I didn't set out to do a 'bombshell' interview. I set out to do an interview, have a conversation that would allow them to tell their story."
