OPINION - Threads hits 100 million users, as changes revealed: Tech & Science Daily podcast

Meta’s new social media platform Threads has reached over 100 million users just one week after launching.

Instagram boss Adam Mosseri, who’s also taking charge of Threads, has said the platform won’t focus on politics and hard news, insisting that there are plenty of ‘amazing communities’ in things like sports, fashion and music to make a vibrant platform.

In a comment he revealed that changes are coming to the platform, including search, hashtags, a following feed, and ‘maybe’ messaging too.

Researchers at Scotland's Rural College believe a daffodil extract could reduce levels of methane produced by cows, when added to their food.

Using an artificial cow stomach, they found that the extract cut methane production by 96%.
