OPINION - The Leader podcast: Running the London Marathon with Richard Whitehead

Over 40,000 runners are expected to take part in the London Marathon on Sunday. It’s the first time since 2019 that the event is being held in spring, with the last few taking place in autumn due to COVID restrictions.

Amongst the 2023 participants will be the double gold medallist and Paralympic champion, Richard Whitehead, who is running his 77th marathon.

Richard tells the Leader podcast how he approaches his training, what makes the London Marathon so special, and what he’s looking forward to most after he crosses the finish line. We also discuss his charity, the Richard Whitehead Foundation, and his incredible work to remove barriers around sport for everyone.
