Mobile giants Vodafone and CK Hutchison, which owns Three UK, have agreed a merger to create Britain’s biggest phone operator.
The deal, reportedly worth £15 billion, would make the new company larger than BT-owned EE, which is currently the country’s largest provider.
If it’s approved by the Competition and Markets Authority, the two groups say they want to build “one of Europe’s most advanced standalone 5G networks”
