OPINION - Tech & Science Daily podcast: Microsoft hits out after UK Activision Blizzard block

Microsoft has hit out at the UK regulator for blocking its takeover of US video game company Activision Blizzard - saying the EU is better for firms.

The proposed $68.7 billion deal would see Microsoft get hold of hugely popular titles such as Call of Duty, Candy Crush, and World of Warcraft.

But on Wednesday, the Competition and Markets Authority, said it was concerned the deal would hit innovation and give gamers less choice in the fast-growing cloud gaming market.
