OPINION - Euclid space scientist on exploring ‘dark energy’: Tech & Science Daily podcast

The European Space Agency is preparing to launch its bus-sized satellite called Euclid into space on Saturday.

The satellite is designed to map the universe, using huge cameras and sensors, but will also investigate dark energy.

Professor Bob Nichol from the University of Surrey, who worked on the Euclid telescope since its inception, 18 years ago, told Tech & Science Daily about the mission, and how the satellite will also be used to stress-test Einstein’s theory of relativity.

Virgin Galactic has been celebrating the success of its first ever commercial spaceflight, which launched on Thursday.
