OPINION - Can this ‘simple’ test find alien life?: Tech and Science Daily podcast

Scientists claim to have developed a simple reliable test that can determine whether there is, or was, life on other planets.

Researchers, led by the Planets Laboratory, Carnegie Institution for Science, Washington, DC, say the test uses artificial intelligence to determine with ‘90 per cent accuracy’ whether a sample is biological or not. The technique looks for small differences in the molecular patterns of samples using different kinds of analysis.

More than 400 criminals have been jailed in an “unprecedented" operation targeting the encrypted messaging platform EncroChat. Led by the National Crime Agency, and its own Operation Venetic, it used data taken from EncroChat to identify the criminals.
