Bus operators serving an area of Nottinghamshire are considering pulling their services due to bricks being thrown at their vehicles. Police said they believed the vandalism in the Carlton In Lindrick area, near Worksop, was being caused by local youths.
West Bassetlaw Police said there had been a number of instances of bricks being thrown since the start of December. "These buses for some are their only way to get to work," the force wrote on Facebook on Wednesday (December 22). Officers also shared a photo of a bus window which had been shattered.
"These buses for some are the only way to get to the shops to buy their groceries. These buses for some are their only method of transport." Police added: "Given the problems, the local bus companies are considering stopping all services to the Carlton In Lindrick area because of the actions of a small minority. If you have any information regarding the damage to the buses please contact 101 or Crime stoppers on 0800 555 111."
