According to the Attorney General’s office, in 2021, 2,250 Kentuckians died of an overdose, with 70 percent of those related to the powerful synthetic opioid fentanyl. Six of those people lived in Leslie County. In Hyden Wednesday, Attorney General Daniel Cameron was joined by members of the law enforcement and prosecutor communities – and by people whose families have suffered from fentanyl. It was the seventh “Operation Fight Fentanyl” town hall meeting. The eighth is scheduled for May 2nd in Henderson County.
