Popular tapas restaurant Neon Jamon has confirmed its reopening date more than two years after closing its doors.
The Smithdown Place venue first opened back in 2013 but in January 2020, announced it would be permanently shutting its doors. The venue, famed for its Catalan-inspired dishes, closed at the end of February 2020 .
The popular restaurant also had a second site on Berry Street in Liverpool's thriving city centre , which closed in spring 2021. Now, two months after sharing that it would reopen, the new Neon Jamon has an opening date.

The venue’s sister site, new neighbourhood pub Crafty Swine on Smithdown Road, shared the news on Instagram. The pub replaced Tribeca at the end of February 2022 and serves craft and cask ales, breakfast, bar snacks and "pizzettes" - Tribeca's much-loved pizza formula in miniature.
Taking to Instagram, Crafty Swine said: “The moment you’ve all been waiting for! @neon_jamon is finally opening its doors in its new location, next door to us on 31st March @ 4pm! There will be NO bookings, except for 1 prime table which will seat 7-10 people. This will have two seatings 6.30pm & 8.30pm daily.
"Please do not try to book or ask to book for any tables less than 7. We are so excited to have Neon Jamon back in our lives as I’m very sure you are too (it’s all you’ve been talking about for months!)”
Fans were quick to celebrate the news, leaving many comments beneath the Instagram post. One person said: “can’t wait for this x” and a second wrote: “so exciting!!! Xxx”.
A third added: “can’t wait to go” and a fourth said: “AT LAST”. Another added: “I had post notifications on for this [laughing emoji] xx”.
Neon Jamon opens on Smithdown Road, next door to Crafty Swine, on Thursday, March 31.
