Independent burger chain, Fat Hippo, has announced when and where it will be opening its first restaurant in Wales.
The restaurant, which sells oversized "get it all over your face" burgers and loaded fries on its menu, will be opening on 17 Church Street in the centre of Cardiff on May 20th.
It will have around 100 covers inside and an outdoor dining area.
Fat Hippo will also be launching on Deliveroo for Cardiff and have a Click and Collect service available via its own app.
It advised customer to keep an eye on Fat Hippo's website and social media for updates when the booking system is open.
Its signature Fat Hippo burger is a double beef burger topped with American cheese, smoked bacon, chorizo, onion rings and Fat Hippo sauce.
There will also be vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options along with a kids menu.
The chain, which first started in 2010 in the North East of England, has 12 other locations across the UK but Cardiff will be its first in Wales.
Founder Michael Phillips said: "We’re so excited to announce Fat Hippo Cardiff will be open for dine in on Friday 20th May."
He added: “The buzz about us coming to Church Street has been incredible and we already feel so welcomed by the people of Cardiff. We can’t wait for everyone to enjoy ‘the good kind of gluttony’ in our brand new restaurant.”
Operations manager Michael Johnson said: “Opening our first restaurant in Wales is an opportunity we just couldn’t turn down, let alone in a prime location like Church Street."
