Oodie unveils new Harry Potter designs with £30 off launch offer for fans wanting to keep warm this winter

With the weather turning and people trying to avoid using the heating unnecessarily due to rising energy costs, hooded blankets are a popular choice with consumers looking to brighten up the drab autumn while also keeping warm.

One of the first brands to go on the market, Oodie, has been at the forefront of making the cosy garment popular, selling more than a million of them since they first launched in the UK.

Their wide range of quirky prints has proved a hit with fans on social media with Oodie clocking up almost 4,000,000 likes on TikTok.

Part of the reason it's proved so popular with its devotees is that it has licences for everything from Minecraft to Friends, Rick and Morty to Quokka.

Now Harry Potter fans wanting to keep warm during chilly evenings won't have to resort to spell casting incendio , with the brand launching a host of new prints in readiness for Christmas - and reducing the prices of many of them by almost a third in an introductory offer to encourage people to buy early.

Meanwhile, this khaki green version is reduced by £25 to £74 and has the crests of all four houses alongside images of Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat and other symbols related to the boy wizard.

While the £30 reduction is prices will be welcomed and fans of the Oodie say it has helped cut the cost of their bills as they don't need to turn on the heating, there are also some Harry Potter dupes available on the high street. Marks and Spencer has a children's oversized Hedwig hoodie from £18, while Dunelm's Gryffindor equivalent for adults costs £35.

Geeky shopping firm Merchoid is also selling house-themed Oodie dupes for £49.99, like this Slytherin one.
