Only those with 'sharp eyes' can find hidden number in tricky optical illusion

While optical illusions can be rather difficult to solve, the tricky task can often say a lot about the efficiency of our puzzle-solving skills.

Putting our sight to the ultimate test, a new illusion allegedly can only be solved by those that have the sharpest eyesight.

The intriguing illusion, which has been shared on popular social media app Twitter, has left challengers baffled.

While the answer may be difficult to solve, the task is simple - people must seek out the number hidden somewhere within the image.

Taking to Twitter, user @TheFigen_ shared a snap of the illusion, alongside the caption: "Eye test! What number do you see?"

Since the post was shared on May 16, it's ranked in over 230 retweets and 2,000 likes to date - with people eager to try.

The picture has a multitude of numbers that are hidden amid a vibrant and sparkling red background.

So, do you think you can find the hidden number faster than others?

Flocking to the comment section, people were eager to share their thoughts after what number they believed was hidden in the image.

In their hundreds, people fled to the comments to write, "571".

While the number "571" was the most popular option amongst Twitter users, others believed that they had spotted completely different numbers.

"573," one person said.

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "285."
