Only those with exceptional skills can spot number three in sea of eights in six seconds

Optical illusions can be a brilliant way to test our brains as they try to see through the image to find out what may be lurking under the surface.

Some of them might distort our vision while others get us to pick something out of an image which takes a lot of analysis and patience.

But this one is slightly different as it tests how quickly you can notice a change in a crowd of what look to be identical numbers.

The illusion, released by JagranJosh, is not easy and could leave you scratching your head - and to make things harder you're against the clock.

Make sure you have your stopwatch ready (Jagran Josh)

In the image you will find row upon row of, what look to be, number eights. But, hidden somewhere in the picture is a rogue number three, and your job is to spot it.

However, with this brain teaser it is not just as easy as finding the odd one out as you are also against the clock - so you have to think fast.

You will have just six seconds to spot the number three and many of us might need a bit longer.

If this is you and you need just a bit a nudge then be sure to take a glance toward the bottom of the image and keep your eyes peeled for anything that does not match the same shape.

If you are still struggling then we have done the work for you and you can see where the number three was in the image.

You can see the number three was lurking on the right side of the image (Jagran Josh)

This is not the only illusion which has been causing people problems in recent days.

This illusion also tested how quickly you can pick something out of a busy image - and this time it was a toothbrush.

If you were able to spot the lurking object within just seven seconds then you could have a very high level of IQ.
