Only people classed as 'geniuses' can spot five items in optical illusion in 15 seconds

Optical illusions can be the most frustrating things in the world, but they can also be extremely satisfying when you work it out.

The key to figuring them out is a bit of patience and good observation skills - if you're able to keep a sharp eye without getting too frustrated, the illusion can become much clearer.

This illusion has five items that are hidden away in it, and those who are able to spot these items inside 15 seconds are classed as 'genius', according to the Star.

Here are the five items that you have to look out for:

Can you spot the things in the photo? (Daily Star)
  • bat
  • duck
  • butterfly
  • carrot
  • balloon

While they might not be obvious right away, take your time and look carefully while considering each object on the list.

If you are still struggling after 15 seconds, try to focus on the left and right sides of the images, as that's where most of the items are.

Below is the same image again but this time all five items are circled, making them a bit easier to spot.

The answers are circled in red (Daily Star)

The carrot, bat and butterfly are on the left side of the image, while the duck and the balloon are hidden in plain sight on the right.

Recently we shared an optical illusion which features a hidden potato amongst hamsters.

Those with eagle-eyes should be able to spot the food item in under seven seconds. While this may seem like an easy challenge, solving this optical illusion requires a person to have a good eye for detail.

Were you able to work out this illusion in just 15 seconds? Let us know in the comments below.
