Today (March 20) marks the first official day of Spring, and as such, many may be pondering about what seeds to plant and how to revamp the garden ahead of the warmer weather. There are a few trendy must haves that have emerged over the years, from stylish gazebos to fire pits - but still ever popular for jazzing up outdoor spaces is the hanging egg chair.
This weekend, Aldi restocked both their single and double hanging egg chairs for £199.99 and £344.99 respectively, but a rival retailer has now announced that they’re selling a large version of the garden gizmo for less than the budget supermarket.
Studio have revealed their Double Hanging Egg Chair - suitable for two people - priced at £295, saving shoppers £50 on the price compared to Aldi.

The retailer said: “Make the most of your lazy days with this hanging egg chair. The soft grey cushions provide a comfortable seat while you lounge in the gentle rocking motion of the chair.
“Whether you're reading a book, taking a nap, or just enjoying some peace and quiet, this is sure to provide you with hours of comfort.”
While Aldi’s rattan chair is a more almond shape, Studios is rounder in comparison, made with a durable powder coated steel frame. It also features a weatherproof textilene rope, waterproof cushion and a foldable basket.
Meanwhile, Aldi’s Gardenline Large Hanging Egg Chair, £344.99, has been described as the ‘ideal way to relax in style and comfort’. Perfect for the patio or conservatory, it comes with a cover to protect it from the weather, and has proven so popular, Aldi have had to limit sales to two per customer,
They had to do the same for the single Hanging Egg Chair when it launched on Sunday, too, with shoppers poised ready to snap up the £200 garden must-have.
Egg chairs have grown in popularity in recent years after being spotted in the homes of celeb favourites like Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon. They’re ideal for elevating your outdoor space, no matter how big or small, with lots of different options available to buy online, including options at The Range, Dunelm and even Home Bargains.
But Studio's double chair is still cheaper than most, with Dunelm's twin egg chair costing £499 - double the price of Studio's offering.
Aldi’s single egg chair is the cheapest we’ve seen online so far this year, but if you are looking for one a little bigger, Studio’s £249 option is one of the most affordable that you can find in stock ahead of Spring.
