Bengali filmmaker Goutam Ghose on Thursday opened an online film festival in Kannur to mark the upcoming 23rd Party Congress of the CPI(M) in Kannur. The relevance of cinema as a people’s medium is increasing at a time when fascist forces the world over were exhibiting their anti-people tendencies, he said.
