Online accolade for Paisley care home

A Paisley care home has been rated as one of the top in Scotland for the second year in a row.

Kyle Court in Paisley made it into the top 20 recommended care homes in Scotland in the carehome.co.uk awards 2022.

It’s the second time the home in Gallowhill made it into the top 20 group and is based on individual review scores that the website has received from residents, their friends, family and loved ones.

Kyle Court’s Home Manager, Kirsty Faulds said: “Our residents and their families, friends and loved ones are always at the heart of everything we do at Kyle Court and so it means the world to know that they recognise the dedication and kind care of the whole team. This is reflected in their independent reviews on carehome.co.uk and our position as a Top 20 Care Home in Scotland.”

Kyle Court received an overall rating of 9.9/10 based on independent reviews, in recognition of the high standards of care provided at the home – which provides nursing and nursing dementia care services for the local community.

The 60-bed home received a glowing Care Inspectorate report in July 2022, with an ‘Excellent’ rating in the leadership category and ‘Very Good’ in the resident wellbeing category, demonstrating that the home is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

One online review from Georgina M, a sister of a resident which was published on 5 August 2022, carehome.co.uk reads: “Kyle Court Care Home justly deserves its 5-star excellence review. My sister has been a resident for almost four years, and I cannot fault the staff for their diligent care of her.

“Even when I was on holiday, and she had taken really unwell I knew she was in the best hands receiving excellent care.

“She is treated as a member of their family, and I am just so grateful. Taking the decision for a family member (with dementia) to move into a care home is difficult but I have no regrets about my sister living at Kyle Court Care Home.”

Maxine Smedley is the managing director of HC-One, which manages the care home. She said: “I am delighted that Kyle Court have been announced as a winner of the Carehome.co.uk Top 20 Award 2022 in Scotland, based on independent reviews by those using our services over the past year.

“This is an amazing achievement, which reaffirms our mission to be the first-choice care home for residents, their loved ones and our colleagues in each of the communities we serve.”

In total, 24 HC-One homes received awards for being among the Top 20 care homes in their respective regions with seven receiving awards for being in the Top 20 Care Homes in Scotland.
