Ongoing Tulip Festival at Shantipath is a sight to behold; all you need to know

The ongoing Tulip Festival at Shantipath, New Delhi, organised by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), is where you need to be. The festival (February 14-26, 2023) is celebrated to welcome the spring season.

Featured at the festival are 1.24 lakhs tulip bulbs, all the way from the Netherlands, that are now growing in lawns in and around Shanti Path. What better way to welcome the spring!

The city, around this time of the year, enjoys exceptional weather. With the biting cold of the winter behind and the heat waves still far away, February is one of the best months that the residents get to enjoy.

As per the reports, New Delhi Municipal Council will also host walks and organise photography contests during the festival. If you love heritage, this is the best time to be out and about in Delhi.

The NGO Give me Trees Trust will be leading the walks that will take you around monuments in and around Shantipath. And, while you are at it, they will also give you a little introduction on the tulips that are the main feature of the festival.

If you are a photography enthusiast, it’s time to get clicking because the photography contest is a great platform to showcase your talent. The competition is in collaboration with theHeritage Photography Club, and all you have to do is click creative pictures of the planted tulips. Time to get creative!
