It’s an exciting day for OnePlus and its community with the launch of the brand new device and second global flagship, the OnePlus 10T. OnePlus’s new performance-focused smartphone as well as the launch of the new version of their operating system Oxygen OS.

Held on Gotham Hall in New York, OnePlus went all out on their push of the brand new Flagship the OnePlus 10T 5G. I was lucky enough to get to talk to some of the OnePlus team and attend the launch event in New York City.
Even as you enter the beautiful expansive Gotham Hall you are greeted by a family Tree of OnePluses phones as well as a wall with the 10T embedded into the wall.
There was detailed breakdowns of the new and exciting features of the OnePlus 10T and OxygenOS 13 from speakers including, Christian Anderson, VP of North American Carrier Strategy, Tumas Lampen, Head of European strategy, Gary Chen, Global Head of Software, Crayon Hsieh, Head of OneLab.
We were then shown a video briefing from Pete Lau, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of OnePlus where he talked about OnePlus evolution and philosophy.
Key features of the 10T are its brand New Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor which is around 10% faster than the previous Snapdragon 8 as well as 30% more efficient.
The devices come in two colours Jade Green and Moonstone Black and come in two Storage and RAM variants. The first has 128Gb Storage and 8GB RAM while the more expensive version will include 256GB Storage and 16GB RAM. The 16GB RAM increase, allows you to have up to 35 tabbed apps running.
The display is a flat 6.7-inch AMOLED screen displaying a resolution of 1440 x 3216 and a dynamic refresh rate from 60Hz up to 120Hz.
It also includes industry-leading fast charging with the 150W SUPERVOOC which can offer a day's power in 10 minutes and doubles the battery lifespan from 800 to 1,600 cycles.
It comes with a triple camera module, The Sony IMX766 sensor 50 megapixel main, 8 megapixel ultrawide and 2 megapixel macro. On the front, there's a 16 megapixel selfie camera too.
The OnePlus 10T will be shipping with OxygenOS 12.1, based on Android 12 but it will receive the new OxygenOS 13 later this year with the 10 Pro receiving it first.
OxygenOS 13 offers several improvements including improved security and customisation. It follows an Aquamorphic design which means inspired by nature and like water it represents life and purity.
The OnePlus 10T is out August 25th £629 for the 8GB - 128 version and £729 for the 256GB - 16GB version both available from August 25th at the OnePlus Website
