Samsung Electronics has announced the release of One UI 6.1, expanding the Galaxy AI experience to a wider range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Initially introduced on the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI will now be available on devices such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Tab S8 series.
The One UI 6.1 update brings several popular Galaxy AI features to a broader user base worldwide. These features include Circle to Search with Google, Chat Assist, Interpreter, Live Translate, Note Assist, Transcript Assist, Browsing Assist, Generative Edit, Edit Suggestion, and AI-Generated Wallpaper.
Barrier-Free Communication and Enhanced Productivity
Galaxy AI aims to enhance communication and productivity by offering innovative features. For instance, Interpreter facilitates seamless communication across different languages by converting speech into translated text on a split screen. Live Translate provides instant voice and text translations during phone calls, while Chat Assist assists users in messaging across languages and adjusting message tones.
Moreover, productivity is significantly improved with features like Circle to Search with Google for streamlined internet interactions, Note Assist for simplified organization tasks, and Browsing Assist for summarizing and translating webpage content. Transcript Assist enables users to create accurate meeting summaries and translations effortlessly.
Availability
The One UI 6.1 update is set to roll out starting early May for the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Z Fold4, Galaxy Z Flip4, and the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
