One-Punch Man season 3: release date, new trailer, and everything we know so far

One-Punch Man.

After years of waiting, One-Punch Man season 3 has been narrowed down to a single month. That's right, Saitama and his deadly fists are coming back to our small screens in 2025. Below, we'll run through that release date window, as well as what else is to come as the series adapts the Monster Association arc. There's even a new trailer to get stuck into.

In fact, from what we've seen so far, there's plenty to suggest the new anime could be among this year's leading lights. We've even gotten some new villain reveals that may at least make our main hero sweat a bit this time. So, while we wait for more news and trailers, we've put together a cheat sheet for One-Punch Man season 3, including a look at the manga chapters it could adapt in the upcoming season, where to watch the new episodes, as well as the confirmed cast list.

One-Punch Man season 3 release date speculation

One-Punch Man season 3 is releasing in October 2025. Given that most fall releases drop in the first week of October, we'd expect One-Punch Man to follow suit. However, we're still waiting on an actual date to be confirmed.

Either way, it's been a long time coming. The first season debuted way back in 2015, while the second season aired in 2019. In other words, we’ve spent over half a decade waiting for the One-Punch Man season 3 release date to surface. Now, we're only months away from Saitama's return.

One-Punch Man season 3 story: which manga chapters will it adapt?

One-Punch Man season 3 will continue the Monster Association arc from Yusuke Marata's manga, which sees the Monster Association arrive at the Hero Association with a message about wanting monsters and heroes to co-exist – something which quickly turns around to be a ruse.

Instead, the Monster Association wants an all-out war between heroes and monsters, led by Orochi and Gyoro. Also in season 2, hero hunter Garou is confronted by various heroes wanting to prove their worth to the Hero Association – including Death Gatling. It leads to a fight between Saitama's protege Genos and Garou, with the latter being saved by the Monster Association's Phoenix Man.

Inevitably, Saitama – having been sidetracked by attempting to best King at video games – comes and saves the day. He kills the monster Elder Centipede and remarks that a despondent Genos needs "power" to improve as a hero. So, that's where we're at. What's next for One-Punch Man season 3? If you're following along in the manga, we're starting from chapter 86.

To confirm our speculations, the official One-Punch Man social media accounts dropped the first two 'Mysterious Being' visuals in early April. These featured Monster King Orochi and Gyoro-Gyoro. So yeah, the Monster Association is basically confirmed at this point.

A season of One-Punch Man typically covers around 40-50 chapters of the source material. If that's the case again, we could expect this season to end around chapter 123 – and the debut of a character known as Psykos (to say any more would be a significant spoiler…)

Until then, expect the perpetually bored Saitama to continue fighting monsters alongside his fellow heroes and Garou to spend more time with the Monster Association as an all-out war ensues. Society's reaction to the monsters differs, with one splinter group – The Monster Worship Party – submitting itself to the monsters.

One-Punch Man season 3 trailer

The new One-Punch Man season 3 trailer, which you can watch above, shows Saitama flanked by a series of lower-ranked (but no less formidable) heroes as they face down the Monster Association.

The clip isn't super heavy on action, and we don't see any massive fights just yet, but it does end with Saitama promising to punch Garou. The music in the teaser is pretty killer as well, so definitely check it out if you want to get hyped for season 3!

One-Punch Man season 3 cast

The One-Punch Man season 3 cast has mostly been confirmed thanks to its latest trailer. They include Saitama (Makoto Furakawa), Genos (Kaito Ishikawa), Garou (Hikaru Midorikawa), King (Hiroki Yasumoto), and the Monster Association’s Gyoro Gyoro (Takehito Koyasu).

Other characters include Terrible Tornado (Aoi Yuki), Silverfang (Kazuhiro Yamaji), Atomic Samurai (Kenjiro Tsuda), Child Emperor (Minami Takayama), and Zombieman (Takahiro Sakurai). The J.C. Staff studio are back on animated duties too.

As of November 2024, the official One-Punch Man Twitter account has also unveiled season 3 art for the characters Atomic Samurai and Zombieman from season 3 character designer Ryosuke Shirokawa. You can see them for yourself below.

Where can I watch One-Punch Man season 3?

Like the first two seasons, we expect One-Punch Man season 3 to be streaming on Crunchyroll. Nothing has been confirmed as of writing, however.

US fans can likely expect the series to also be available on Hulu (just like the other seasons). Again, though, currently this is just speculation on our part. We'll keep you posted as we wait for more information.
