Armed police were called to a South Shields street after one person was taken to hospital following an incident at a house.
Specialist officers wearing protective armour and carrying weapons were stationed on Marshall Wallis Road in the town on March 5.
North East Ambulance have confirmed that a person was taken to hospital just before 1am after an incident at a home on the street.
A section of the street was cordoned off by officers and a number of police cars and vans were at the scene throughout the day.

A North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 00:52 this morning to an incident at a private address on Marshall Wallis Road in South Shields.
"We sent three of our Hazardous Area Response teams and an emergency ambulance crew, who took one patient to hospital."
Forensic teams could be seen searching the back lanes and drains around the street on Saturday afternoon and a police dog unit was also called to the scene.
The nature of the incident is not yet known, but Northumbria Police have confirmed they will be releasing further details soon.
Meanwhile, residents in the area said they had seen a number of police cars on Marshall Wallis Road and the surrounding streets at around 10am on Saturday, calling it a "frightening" experience.
One resident said: “It is frightening. There have been a number of police cars here throughout the day and at around 10am there were forensics here checking the drains.”
Northumbria Police has been contacted for comment.
