One person has been taken to hospital after they were removed from a car following a crash in Cardiff, emergency services have said. A road traffic collision on The Common in the Whitchurch area of the city occurred on Tuesday, September 11 shortly before 10pm.
Emergency services attended the scene, which involved one vehicle. One person was removed from the vehicle before being taken to hospital for emergency treatment.
"At approximately 946pm on Tuesday the 11th of October, we received reports of a one vehicle Road Traffic Collision on Merthyr Road, Whitchurch. Multiple crews attended the scene alongside emergency service colleagues. One persons required extrication. The incident concluded at approximately 10.22pm," a spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue said.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (11 October) shortly before 10:00pm to reports of a road traffic collision on The Common, in Whitchurch Cardiff. We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, where we were supported by Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer colleagues. One person was taken to the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff for further treatment.”
