One person has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a motorbike in Newcastle.
Police and paramedics were called to Chillingham Road in Heaton at around 9.20pm on Thursday, March 16 and one person was taken by ambulance to the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
A North East Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We received a call at 9.20pm last night (Thursday, March 16) to reports of a road traffic incident on the junction between Alexandra Road and Chillingham Road, Newcastle. We dispatched one ambulance crew and a rapid response paramedic. One patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) for further treatment."

Northumbria Police said their injuries were not life-threatening and the force has now launched an appeal for witnesses.
A police spokeswoman said: “Shortly after 9.20pm yesterday (Thursday) police received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a motorbike on Chillingham Road, near to the junction with Alexander Road, in Heaton.
“Emergency services attended the scene where thankfully no life-threatening injuries were reported. The road has since been cleared.
