A person has been rushed to hospital after emergency services tackled a fire at a West Lothian prison.
A fire had broken out within HMP Addiewell and fire crews and Police Scotland rushed to the prison in West Calder just after 3.35pm on Wednesday, May 3.

One person has been taken to hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service and police have launched an investigation to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a fire within HMP Addiewell shortly after 3.35pm on Wednesday, May 3.
“Emergency services attended and one person has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We can confirm we were in attendance at HMP Addiewell after receiving reports of an incident. We sent three appliances to the scene."
