One person rescued from horror Halloween house blaze as two fire engines rush to scene

Two fire stations were required to send engines out on Halloween night to rescue a person from a house fire.

Thousands of calls are made all day on October 31st each year and 2022 was no different.

Having already had to deal with a bonfire in the middle of the road in Drimnagh earlier in the evening, two other stations were called into action later in the evening.

A spokesperson said: "Firefighters from Finglas and Phibsborough fire stations have rescued one person from a house fire this evening. Breathing apparatus teams were able to contain the fire and extinguish it."

They showed photos from the incident and it appears that someone was extremely lucky to avoid injuries.

Gardai have also been busy, seizing bonfire materials from people.

A whopping 300 tyres and 300 pallets were seized by officers this morning.

Officers and Dublin City Council removed the materials from the Dublin 12 area, DublinLive report.

Then, Gardai from Ronanstown seized a number of fireworks and cash from a home in Dublin 22.

Officers discovered a 'large quantity' of fireworks and over €8,000 in cash from the residence as part of Operation Tombola.
