One person was taken to hospital following a head-on smash in Kilmarnock at the weekend, police have confirmed.
Two motors collided on Glasgow Road's Beansburn area on Saturday at around 6pm.
Emergency services, including an ambulance, raced to the scene near the Bungalow store and Jungle Madness soft play.
Paramedics were spotted checking people over with one lane blocked as a result of the smash.
Police confirmed that the two vehicles had to be recovered and one person was taken to hospital. The condition of the person or the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
