One of Love Island's iconic challenges returns tonight

From sexy dances to finding out what the public really thinks about them Love Island is known for putting the Islanders through their paces in the well-loved challenges. There is one challenge that many viewers enjoy and it is set to make its return on Wednesday, July 27.

The famous baby challenge, where Islanders are given a realistic baby doll that cries to look after, is back. This challenge will test the Islander's potential parenting skills and if their relationship can survive a child.

In previous years the Islanders have woken up to the cries of their fakes babies and then had to look after them for the day.

The challenge has often produced many funny moments in previous series as the couples have to feed the baby and change their nappies. While some Islanders enjoy being a parent others shy away from their parenting duties.

Tonight's preview sees the villa wake up to some noise, with Ekin-Su questioning: “Wait, what is that noise?” and Tasha says: “This is my nightmare, I’ve actually woken up to a nightmare.”

As the Islanders name, dress, feed, comfort and play with their babies, their skills as parents are being put to the test, with an award for the best parents up for grabs at the end of the day.

Davide says of parenting: “It’s going well, she just ate, we’ll do some activities later today. We’ll do some gym squats later with the baby.” A text later on inviting the mums out for a brunch heralds Daddy Day Care. Andrew says: We can have a dad’s bonding session with the kids!”

In 2021 Welsh winner Liam Reardon hilariously imitated a 'Welsh mam' as he looked after his baby. He has since split from Millie Court, who he was coupled up with in the villa, after less than a year together.

Currently in the villa Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne has gone through a rollercoaster of a journey, after coupling up with Jacques O'Neill, having her heart broken after Jacques got to know other girls during Casa Amor and is now happily coupled with bombshell Adam Collard after Jacques quit the villa.

Despite saying that he would wait for Paige eagled-eyed fans have noticed that Jacques has now deleted all traces of Paige from his Instagram. Elsewhere Essex fish monger Luca Bish has said he will move up north to live closer to Gemma Owen, daughter of famous footballer Michael Owen, who he is coupled up with.
