One person has been taken to hospital following a collision involving a car and motorbike in Northumberland.
Emergency crews attended the scene on the A19 southbound near to the Killingworth exit following reports of a two-vehicle collision which occurred around 8am this morning. Officers from Northumbria Police found that a car and a motorbike had collided.
Crews from North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) were also in attendance at the scene and one casualty was found to be in need of further medical assistance.

An ambulance transported one patient to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. The road was closed closed in both directions between A189 Moor Farm Roundabout to A1056 Killingworth Way.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “At around 8.25pm today (Tuesday) police received a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A19 southbound near to the Killingworth exit.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance at the scene where the road is closed in both directions between A189 Moor Farm Roundabout to A1056 Killingworth Way. Motorists are advised to take another route where possible.”
A NEAS spokesperson said: "We were called at 08:17am to a road traffic collision on the A19 Southbound near Burradon Road, Cramlington.
"We sent one emergency ambulance and transported one patient to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital."
The A19 has since re-opened between A189 Moor Farm Roundabout to A1056 Killingworth Way.
