One person has died and another is injured following a crash involving a truck and a car overnight.
The collision happened at Killeheen near Rathkeale, Co Limerick around 2.50am.
The male driver of the articulated truck, aged in his early 30s, was fatally injured.

His body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem will take place.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick, with his injuries described as “non-life threatening”.
The road is currently closed awaiting forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with camera footage to contact them.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to gardai.”
