One person has died following a triple stabbing in Halifax town centre, police have said.
A second man is in “critical condition” and a third is receiving treatement for non-life threatening injuries after the attack on Commercial Street just before 3.48am on Sunday.
West Yorkshire Police said in a statement: “There is a significant police scene in place in the town centre while police conduct specialist searches and forensic enquiries.
“The public and local businesses are thanked for their patience at this time.”
Further information will be released in due course, police added.
